It’s been 42 days since the monster apocalypse and 13 year old Jack Sullivan has been surviving the monster apocalypse. He is at the CVS so he can get a really really really tiny screwdriver to repair his walkie so he can communicate with his Best friend Quint Baker. While he is at the CVS, he encounters a monster he names Blarg. He stabs Blarg in the forehead so he can escape Blarg. Blarg is an evil monster who looks very smart.Jack likes this girl called June Del Toro.
He gets back to his tree house and He manages to get his walkie working and calls his best friend. At first there is no response. Jack falls asleep and gets nightmares like when the monster apocalypse first started.June went inside the school that Jack goes to. Dirk Savage, a bully, was bullying him and Quint.Then he hears Quint calling him from the walkie. Jack goes to Quint’s house. Quint takes his things to Jack’s tree house in a vehicle Quint calls big mama. While they go in the big mama The Jack Keeps on yelling June Del Toro because he doesn’t know where she is because when he was yelling he couldn’t hear her. Jack also gets a pet called Rover. Rover is a monster dog.
Quint and Jack go to a Store and See Dirk, Dirk saves them from a flying monster called that Jack calls the Winged Wretch. Jack and Quint invite Dirk to their tree house he says ok to join them is they stop asking him . While Dirk and Jack go to a store they see Blarg. He attacks them. But Jack and Dirk manage to escape. Quint, Jack, and Dirk add monster defenses to their tree house. With the help of Rover they figure out where June is. June, Quint ,Jack, and Dirk get ready and slay Blarg. The end.
I personally think this book is very interesting and funny because Jack and his friends have interesting weapons. I think the book is funny because sometimes Jack gets carried off.
